A culpa é da imprensa!
O presidente do Senado pintou e bordou durante o exercício de seu cargo. Usou lobista de empreiteira para pagar despesas pessoais, fez maracutaias com bancos, usou notas frias e bois superfaturados para explicar como paga a pensão da filha que tem fora do casamento... Todo mundo sabe que ele aprontou, as provas são óbvias, mas não importa.
Às favas o decoro! Ao conselho de ética não cabe simplesmente dizer se Renan é culpado ou inocente. Mais importante que isso é definir se o voto será secreto ou aberto. Se for fechado, Renan poderá mais tranqüilamente "negociar" votos para garantir sua absolvição. O que eu não duvido que aconteça. Se for aberto, todo mundo vai tratar de tirar o seu da reta, discursando a favor da ética com medo da avaliação popular.
Peraí, popular? Será que o povão está preocupado com tudo isso mesmo?

Para decepção geral da marmanjada que lê a Playboy, a edição desse mês não veio com o ensaio da ex-amante de Renan. Foi substituído por outro com a atriz Bárbara Paz, uma lá da Casa dos Artistas, alguém lembra? Pois é, por aí já se nota que é um ensaio desengavetado. Cadê a jornalista?
Diz-se por aí que a Editora Abril ficou com medo de botar o ensaio esse mês. Vão aguardar primeiro o resultado do julgamento do senador. Se ele for cassado, o ensaio sai na edição do mês que vem. Se ele for absolvido, aí só Deus sabe, talvez o ensaio nunca vá às bancas. Porque Renan vai usar todo seu poder e influência em cima da imprensa abusada e nojenta que só o calunia. Começando pela Editora Abril.
